Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-05-22

1. Definitions

"Casefile," "we," "us," and "our" refer to Champlin Enterprises Inc., d/b/a Casefile, an Illinois entity. "You" and "your" refer to the individual using the Casefile service.

2. Account Terms

You must be at least 18 years old. You are responsible for keeping your password and 2FA codes secure. Casefile may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

3. Payment Terms

The Casefile Case Completion Pack is offered as a one-time payment of $147 (USD). The first 100 paid customers may use code FOUNDING100 to obtain a one-time $50 discount, paying $97. There is no subscription or recurring charge for the Case Completion Pack.

All purchases are covered by a 30-day money-back guarantee. To request a refund, email [email protected] within 30 days of purchase. You will retain read-only access to your account and vault for 30 days after a refund so you can export your data.

4. Prohibited Uses

You may not use Casefile to upload illegal content, share another person's data without their consent, or attempt to reverse-engineer or compromise the service. Casefile is a self-help organizational tool — not a substitute for an attorney.

5. UPL — Not Legal Advice

Casefile is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. Using Casefile does not create an attorney-client relationship. Information provided through the assistant, the 13.3.1 affidavit generator, or any other feature is for organizational and educational purposes only. For legal advice you must consult a licensed attorney in your jurisdiction.

6. Intellectual Property

Casefile's software, branding, and documentation are owned by Champlin Enterprises. You retain ownership of all documents and content you upload.

7. Data Ownership

Your data is yours. You may export it at any time from Settings → Privacy. We delete your data within 7 days of an account-deletion request; audit logs are retained for 2 years per our compliance policy.

8. Limitation of Liability

Casefile is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Champlin Enterprises is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you've paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Lake County, Illinois.

10. Termination

Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. Casefile may suspend access for violations of these terms. Upon termination, you may export your data; after the 7-day deletion window, your data is permanently removed.
