Common questions

How long does this take?

About 90 seconds. Drop your two PDFs, give us your name and email, and Casefile reads the documents on the spot. There is no signup at this stage.

Is my data safe?

Your two files are encrypted before they touch our disk and deleted automatically after 30 days. We do not sell or share your data. We email you the score and occasional Casefile updates.

Why only Illinois?

The readiness check is built around the Illinois Supreme Court 13.3.1 Financial Affidavit. Other states use different forms with different supporting-document lists. We are adding more states based on demand.

What if I do not have a pay stub?

Upload a 1099, a benefit statement, or any income document you do have. Casefile still scores you against all nine categories so you can see exactly what is missing.

Do I have to pay anything?

No. The readiness score is free and there is no credit card required. If you decide to finish your affidavit inside Casefile, the plan is 49 dollars a month and you can cancel anytime.

What happens to my documents after the score?

They sit encrypted on our disk for 30 days while we follow up. After that, a daily cleanup job deletes them automatically. You can also reply to our follow-up email and we will delete them on request.
